Mind is consciousness being interpreted in a variety of fields. Your body is a brain with multiple centers of interpreted and specialized inteligences. We humans must learn—make opportunity for awareness—from the multitude of actions we take. Everything reverberates, yet we cannot truly know the future impact of our limited awareness. This is why non-action is often wise—yet this seems inconceivable to us to delay acting upon circumstances. How do we come into greater coherence with this network full of outcomes we’ve created and fervently pursued? Might there be wisdom in stepping back, reserving judgement, listening more deeply, feeling more completely into the wisdom the surrounds and suffuses the cosmos to which we all belong, from which we draw every imaginable resource? Our thoughts are not the whole truth. We are exquisitely connected neural architecture plugged into everything around us from within. Feeling and felt sense perception is subtly speaking in vibration. We are equipped to listen with every fiber and cell and space between.
We must engage the body’s intelligence. Did you know that the earth emits a heartbeat every 26 seconds or that the mysentery has been classified as a new organ in the human body and entered into Gray’s Anatomy?
We over-rely on what we think we know or that know. We use 5% of the conscious mind while 95% is subconscious and assert with certainty to our detriment. As Suzuki made so plain, thinking we know is our greatest failure. Curiosity of the vast and pervasive unknown is our greatest frontier. Discovery emerges daily and that should enthrall every mind and body toward greater exploration. Our presumption of knowing blocks our much-needed expansion of deeper awareness. Our thoughts represent an infintesimal amount of intelligence even with felt sense perception—but what matters most is how that connects us with one another and the infinite cosmos. Awareness of separation and disconnection could yoke and not plunder us, but we’ll have to release our delusion of knowing to allow it.
